A Photo Party photography session at your home will cost you nothing to set up, and is fun too. (Photography sessions are always made a fun time, to help families feel more relaxed)

Why not have a photo party during the school holidays? You can invite other families to come to your home on a week day and all save on the cost of their kids portraits, while you could get yours for free !

● What's in it for us? As the host family you will receive a $50* upfront credit, our thanks to you for hosting the event. For every other family that attends your party you will receive an additional $10* credit towards the purchase of your own family portrait photographs.

You can see how you might quickly have more than enough credit to purchase your own complete set of family photographs.

● How many families can we invite? As many as you want, But we suggest that you only invite four or five, but that you ask those families to also invite up to five other families.

Your special guests will also receive a discount of $10* for each family that they invite and that attends on the day, plus a bonus $10* just for helping you.

Who do we invite? You, and they, could invite family, friends, neighbors, work colleagues etc.

● How long does it take on the day? Approximately six hours is usually enough time to photograph approximately 20 families, the usual time per family is just 15 minutes +/-. We would recommend that you invite the families though in groups to avoid having to many people waiting. Photography sessions usually start in the morning on Saturday or Sunday, but week day appointments are available for school holiday kids photo sessions. We will help you set up appointments for all your guests.

● How much space is required? The studio requires approximately 4m x 6m, Our preferred space is a double garage area but an enclosed patio or family room would be OK. A power point would also be required.

● Do people really want family portraits? YES! ….. EVERY mum wants photographs of her family, it’s only the cost (up to $2000+) and inconvenience that makes it hard. We know from experience that most families would like to have family portraits taken.

Sadly, so many families have had bad experiences with some studio’s, the actual cost of photographs is often much higher than those quoted when you sit. Often packages of photographs are presented at totally unrealistic prices, as high as $800 to $2000 and more! some studios even shred the images you will not buy in front of you. How's that for emotional blackmail?

● Are there any up front cost? Each family that attends (except the host family) will have to pay a $25*attendances fee that they will receive back as a $30* credit! towards their purchases. EVERYBODY get a discount code.

(The attendance fee discourages people from getting friends to attend simply to increase their credits, we have found that families there with no intention to buy behave badly and waste the time of the photographer and the other families).

● What are the photograph prices? Our photograph prices are very competitive when compared to many other studio’s single photo cost. The prices are on the 'sample gallery' (see: can we view a sample gallery?) There is no arm twisting on our part. We have no influence on who purchases photographs or how much they choose to spend. We rely solely on the quality of our work to sell images;

We do not present ‘packages’ of photographs at outrageous price and use emotional blackmail to make sales.

● Are we committed to purchase any photographs? NO, no family is under any obligation at all to purchase any photographs. Obviously it would be nice if they would, but if they are unhappy with the results why should they?

● How do we see the proof prints? The proof prints will be available on a password protected gallery on our web site for one month after the day, families will be e mailed and given a personal ‘credit coupon code’ they can view and purchase their photographs on-line using Visa or MasterCard, cheque or money order and even via EFT banking though their own bank.

The web site gallery is VERY easy to use, the added security of your credit card information being sent to our computers via two separate E-mails makes on-line purchasing very safe.

● Can we view a sample gallery? Of course :-Click Here:- , Then click on any photo to see the actual photograph prices*. You can 'pretend' to buy a photo and you will see the ordering page at work (Note: don't put your credit card number in!).

● Do the families have to have access to the internet? Yes, sorry, but this is only way to view the proof prints, select and make purchases, they must have an active e-mail address. This is why we are able to be so competitive.

● Dial-up or Broadband? Loading can be quite slow with dial up but as there are only 20 -30 photographs in your family gallery it's not to much of a problem for most people. Broadband downloads very quickly.

If you have already had your family portraits taken and are having a party to earn credits to get your photographs for free, your images will be displayed in a temporary viewing gallery until your party and will be available with the rest of your guests.

Family Portrait Photo Parties are usually held on Saturdays or Sundays, but if you have 15 or less families attending it may be possible to arrange a Party for a week night.

You would need to book ahead as we are very busy and you will need some time to organize your guests.
